This key role is responsible for overseeing complex accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and organizational policies. The successful candidate will act as a mentor to junior staff, lead process improvements, and provide strategic financial insights to support management decision-making. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Oversee and manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, and the month-end/year-end close processes. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable regulations. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Lead, supervise, and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed. Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely documentation and responses. Monitor, analyze, and report on financial results; provide meaningful insights to management for decision-making. Manage fixed asset accounting, cost allocations, and complex reconciliations. Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis. Evaluate and implement process improvements; support digital transformation initiatives within the department. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of professional accounting experience, with demonstrated progression of responsibilities. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and controls. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar). Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Demonstrated experience in developing, leading, or mentoring junior team members. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or similar professional certification strongly preferred. Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience in the industry sector relevant to the organization (e.g., manufacturing, service, technology, etc.). Background in process automation, ERP implementation, or financial systems upgrades. Proficiency with data analysis and business intelligence tools.
