Construction Project Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Project Accountant to join our team full-time, on-site. In this role, you will be an integral part of our construction projects — managing job cost accounting, tracking budgets, and ensuring the accuracy of project financials from start to close-out. You will work closely with project managers and leadership in a collaborative, small-team setting where your contributions are visible and valued.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and maintain job cost accounting for active construction projects Process subcontractor invoices, pay applications, and owner billings Track project budgets, costs, and variances with regular reporting to project teams Assist with month-end close, including WIP schedules and cost-to-complete analysis Reconcile project accounts and ensure accuracy across the general ledger Coordinate with project managers to resolve billing and cost discrepancies

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 3 years of construction accounting experience, with a focus on job/project cost accounting Solid understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy and efficiency Strong communicator who thrives in a small, close-knit team environment Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered in lieu of formal education Must be available to work on-site full-time at our office location

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
