What is Involved The primary areas of focus will be to:

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and performance insight
• Support Group reporting requirements and ensure alignment with UK reporting standards
• Lead forecasting and budgeting processes, working with functional teams to build robust, bottom-up forecasts
• Partner with the US leadership team to support ownership of the P&L and improve financial performance
• Track performance against budget and forecast, identifying risks and opportunities
• Maintain and enhance costing models, including standard costing and overhead absorption
• Manage inventory accounting, including WIP, valuation, and reconciliations
• Support pricing and commercial decision-making with clear financial analysis
• Contribute to strengthening financial controls and supporting audit processes
• Supporting US tax and regulatory requirements, working alongside internal teams and external advisors Technical Expertise Candidates should have experience or understanding of:
• Management accounting within a manufacturing environment
• Inventory accounting, including WIP, standard costing, and variance analysis
• Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Financial analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making
• Financial controls and reporting under US GAAP (or similar frameworks)

• Proactive approach and ability to work on own initiative Preferred Qualifications and Experience Essential Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Proven experience in a Management Accountant or Cost Accountant role within a manufacturing environment Strong experience in inventory accounting, including WIP, standard costing, and variance analysis Experience preparing monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets Ability to partner with operational teams and provide clear financial insight Desirable Professional qualification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) Experience working within a defence, aerospace, or regulated environment, with exposure to Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) preferred Exposure to international or Group reporting structures Awareness of US tax and regulatory requirements (federal, state, and sales taxes) Experience supporting commercial decision-making (e.
