Eligible for Health, dental, Vision About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization. This is a newly created role supporting the expansion of operations and increased production activity. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience, a hands-on approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position will partner closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to support inventory accounting, cost analysis, month-end close, and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Perform monthly cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, cost analysis, journal entries, and reconciliations Analyze manufacturing costs from raw materials through finished goods production Maintain and review Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and standard costs Support month-end and year-end close processes related to inventory and cost accounting Prepare and analyze Cost of Sales (COS) reporting and manufacturing variances Monitor inventory transactions, cycle counts, reserves, and inventory accuracy Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to improve costing processes and operational efficiencies Assist with SOX compliance, audit requests, and internal control documentation Support capital expenditure tracking and fixed asset reporting as needed Identify opportunities for automation, reporting enhancements, and process improvements Participate in ad hoc financial analysis and cross-functional projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong manufacturing and cost accounting exposure Experience with inventory accounting, BOMs, routings, and standard costing required Strong understanding of GAAP, inventory controls, and manufacturing accounting principles Experience supporting audits and SOX compliance initiatives Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems required Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments Flexible, hands-on mindset with the ability to adapt in a growing operational environment Preferred Qualifications Public company experience Semiconductor, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing industry experience International or multi-entity accounting exposure Experience with capex reporting and manufacturing operations scaling initiatives Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Bonus opportunity Equity/RSU potential Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits Career growth opportunities within a collaborative and innovative environment
