Job Description

Experience:
Entry Level Salary:
$65,000 - $75,000 per year Job Details - We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. As a staff accountant, you will be responsible for handling, preparing, computing, managing, researching and analyzing all accounting data, providing quantitative information on performance, financial position, solvency, liquidity and cash flows of our business.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice. Report to management regarding the finances of establishment. Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology. Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements. Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring all transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with GAAP. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Strong understanding of accounting theory and principles. Experience with agricultural accounting is a plus. Highly proficient in MS Excel and familiar with accounting software. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong knowledge of GAAP. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
