Job DescriptionJob Description Burbank, CA | Full-Time | $80,000-$90,000 per year + Benefits + 401(k) We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Burbank finance team. This hands-on role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong month-end close, general ledger, reconciliation, and operational accounting experience in a fast-paced business environment. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will support key accounting functions including month-end close, reconciliations, sales tax support, commissions, intercompany accounting, royalties, and audit support.
MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE
- Month-end close experience
- General ledger accounting
- Account reconciliations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- ERP/accounting systems experience
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
STRONG PLUS
- SAP accounting experience
- Multi-state sales tax compliance
- Distribution, wholesale, consumer products, or similar industry experience
- Commission accounting experience
- Intercompany accounting experience
- Audit support experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own critical aspects of the month-end close process including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, amortization, depreciation, and reconciliations
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and supporting schedules
- Support preparation and filing of multi-state sales tax returns and maintain resale tax exemption certificates
- Respond to tax notices and compliance-related inquiries
- Calculate and analyze commissions and royalties
- Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations
- Review budget-to-actual variances and identify accrual or reclassification adjustments
- Support year-end audit preparation and audit requests
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and reporting efficiency

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a full-time onsite position based in Burbank, California. Candidates should be comfortable commuting to Burbank for an onsite role. Periodic extended hours may be required during month-end close, year-end close, audit periods, budgeting cycles, and inventory-related activities.
