Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Project Accountant to join our team and drive financial excellence across our construction projects. In this vital role, you will oversee all financial activities related to construction projects, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing budgets, and providing insightful financial analysis. Your expertise will help streamline project costs, optimize cash flow, and support strategic decision-making to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget. Manage all accounting related functions for multiple projects throughout the project's lifecycle. 2. Work closely with operations team to ensure accurate and timely submission of client invoices and collection of receivables. - 3. Overseeing and entering accurate and timely job costs against budget, including payroll, material, subcontractor, and other miscellaneous expenses. 4. Correspond with vendors and subcontractors on issues including invoicing, issue resolutions, waiver collection, etc. 5. Foster and promote working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. 6. Leverage understanding of project accounting procedures to assist the operations team in effectively managing projects. 7. Identify and resolve issues and escalate to management for resolution as appropriate. 8. Understand and implement department internal controls and GAAP compliance requirements to align with corporate initiatives. 9. Generate reports related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Contract Status, Job Costs, etc. 10. Providing support during month, quarter, and year-end close. 11. Complete other related duties as assigned or as needed. Requirements Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting within the construction or engineering industry. Strong knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and account reconciliation. Demonstrated ability in financial report writing, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow analysis. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail; ability to interpret complex financial data accurately. Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
