Job Description
Description A well-established company in Carlsbad is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support advanced accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys balancing technical accounting responsibilities with process improvement initiatives. The Senior Staff Accountant will work closely with leadership and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting and supporting operational decision-making. Key Responsibilities + Lead month-end and year-end close activities + Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules + Analyze financial statements and investigate variances + Maintain general ledger integrity and support reporting accuracy + Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation + Support process improvement initiatives and accounting workflow enhancements + Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and operations teams + Assist with compliance and internal controls processes Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required + 4+ years of progressive accounting experience + Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles + Experience in corporate, manufacturing, or service-based environments preferred Systems & Software + ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred + Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required Why Join the Team + Opportunity to work directly with accounting leadership + Collaborative and growth-oriented environment + High visibility role with strong long-term potential Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
