Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description Key Responsibilities:

• Follow up and make collections and allocation of payments.
• Carry out billing, collections and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
• Reconciliation of Accounts.
• Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
• Maintain Accounts Receivable customer files.
• Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc.
• Investigate and resolve customer queries.
• Process Adjustments.
• Organizing a recovery system and initiate collection efforts.
• Communicating with customers via phone, email, mail or personally.
• Provide support to the Sr. Accountant, Controller and CFO.
• General Ledger account analysis.
• Assist in month end close.
• Assist in various audits.
• Create journal entries.
• Pay VA Fees and Monthly Mortgage Insurance.
• Manage Principal, Impounds and Upfront MIP accounts.
• Facilitate Impound variance collections and payments.
• Create and maintain internal reports.
• Cross-training with other accounting staff to provide coverage and assistance when necessary.
