In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help drive financial integrity and support strategic decision-making across the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in corporate accounting, financial analysis, and a variety of accounting software systems within a collaborative environment committed to excellence. Responsibilities Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal policies. Perform account reconciliations for the general ledger, balance sheet, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to maintain precise financial data. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial statement preparation and variance analysis. Support internal controls related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance by documenting processes and testing controls as required. Manage data entry tasks using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, UltiPro, ADP, Kronos, Ceridian, PeopleSoft, and Paychex to ensure timely processing of transactions. Conduct detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus. Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting environments. Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and technical accounting concepts. Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro or similar platforms. Familiarity with payroll management systems like Paychex or Ceridian is preferred. Ability to perform detailed data entry with high accuracy (10 key typing skills). Excellent analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and supporting audit processes.
