Job Description

Job Summary A well-established agricultural business is seeking an experienced Accountant to support key financial, accounting, and operational functions in a full-time, direct hire role. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a stable, relationship-driven environment and wants to grow into a lead financial administration role. The Accountant will work closely with leadership, accounting team members, farm operations staff, and ownership to support daily accounting activity, reporting accuracy, and business decision-making. This role offers exposure to agriculture accounting, crop accounting, cash flow planning, capital assets, and operational administration within a respected farm management environment. This position is ideal for someone who values supportive leadership, a collaborative office culture, long-term stability, and the opportunity to build deep knowledge of agricultural finance and business operations. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage core accounting functions including accounts payable, cash receipts, bank balance management, capital asset accounting, and cash flow projections.
  • Track prepayment balances, reconcile fuel inventory, and maintain accurate accounting records for operational activity.
  • Record crop yield and quality data to support financial reporting, operational planning, and agricultural business analysis.
  • Learn and assist with general ledger management, crop accounting, invoicing, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate with internal leadership and external CPA resources to support compliance, reporting accuracy, and year-end accounting needs.
  • Assist with administrative and operational support functions, including farm insurance coordination, IT maintenance, office systems, and workflow improvements. Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary Range:
    $60,000 to $75,000 per year.
  • Job Type:
    Direct hire.
  • Schedule:
    Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. How to Apply
