HVAC Manufacturing / Energy Efficiency Role Description We are is seeking an detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost analysis, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with Canadian accounting and tax regulations. This role plays a key part in supporting business decision-making and maintaining accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Perform cost analysis and provide insights to improve profitability Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis Ensure compliance with Canadian tax regulations (GST/HST, corporate tax, etc.) Assist with external audits and liaise with auditors Monitor inventory costing and landed cost analysis Improve and streamline accounting processes and internal controls Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA designation (or in progress) preferred 5+ years of accounting experience (distribution / manufacturing experience preferred) Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and tax system Experience with cost accounting and financial analysis Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, financial modeling) Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Preferred:
