In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the organization's financial health. Your expertise in accounting software, financial concepts, and regulatory standards will drive accurate reporting and efficient financial operations. Duties Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Perform account reconciliation procedures for general ledger accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other key financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage payroll processing using systems such as ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements while maintaining compliance with payroll tax regulations. Conduct data entry and bookkeeping activities utilizing accounting software like QuickBooks, and Excel to maintain precise financial records. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections while monitoring aging reports. Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and account analysis to support strategic decision-making. Support internal controls compliance including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) procedures and assist with audits by providing necessary documentation. Handle tax-related tasks such as preparing tax filings and supporting tax audits with relevant documentation. Perform journal entries and general ledger adjustments to reflect accurate financial data regularly. Participate in governmental accounting activities when applicable for non-profit or public sector entities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required; CPA certification is a plus. Proven experience in corporate accounting with strong knowledge of GAAP and governmental accounting standards. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Excel, and similar platforms. Experience with payroll management systems including ADP or Paychex is highly desirable. Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet management. Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and internal control procedures. Excellent attention to detail with high proficiency in data entry (10 key typing) and double-entry bookkeeping practices. Ability to analyze financial data accurately while maintaining confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information. Strong mathematical skills combined with excellent organizational abilities to support budgeting and credit analysis activities.
