LAB Holding is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support full-cycle accounting across multiple operating entities, including retail and hospitality businesses. This is a hands-on, operational role responsible for day-to-day accounting, payroll support, reconciliations, month-end close, sales tax filings, budgeting support, and administrative assistance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and enjoys balancing accounting responsibilities with cross-functional support.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities in a fast-paced environment Enter, code, and process accounts payable invoices; gather supporting documentation and ensure timely payments Reconcile daily sales and verify all deposits are accurately recorded; upload and reconcile POS data Perform regular credit card, bank statement, and general ledger reconciliations Process payroll, including review of hours and tips, PTO reconciliation, and benefits tracking Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including variance analysis versus budget and prior periods and review with business owners File monthly sales and use tax returns Support month-end and year-end close activities, including forecasting and annual budget preparation Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and external filing requirements Support ad hoc projects and financial analysis as needed Assist with HR-related tasks including onboarding coordination and benefits administration Provide general administrative support, including office supplies tracking and mail management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 4+ years of general accounting / book keeping experience, ideally in a multi-entity or small business environment Solid understanding of full-cycle accounting principles Experience with QuickBooks Online, Toast, Erply POS systems, and Excel preferred Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Self-starter with high integrity, strong work ethic, and consistent follow-through Comfortable multitasking and managing competing priorities Collaborative mindset with flexibility to support cross-functional needs, including HR and administrative tasks Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and make well-researched recommendations Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic environment
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
