We are seeking a Senior Revenue Accounting Consultant to join a global SaaS organization supporting complex, high-volume transaction accounting operations. This role will be responsible for reviewing revenue-related accounting activities, identifying anomalies within large data sets, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate combines strong operational revenue accounting expertise with exceptional business acumen, communication skills, and the ability to proactively identify issues before they escalate. - Review and approve revenue-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by a shared services accounting team
- Analyze transactional activity across high-volume financial operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of accounting res ults
- Investigate unusual fluctuations, trends, and accounting variances, proactively identifying risks and discrepancies before they impact financial repor ting
- Support accounting activities related to operational revenue str eams
- Partner with accounting, finance, operations, and business stakeholders to resolve complex accounting issues and improve reporting accu racy
- Contribute to month-end close activities within a highly accelerated close environ ment
- Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and accounting validation efforts related to new products, systems, and process cha nges
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including reporting enhancements, dashboard development, process optimization, and data analysis proj ects
- Provide support for special projects and evolving business initiatives as ne eded Qualifications & Exper tise:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related disci pline
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on operational revenue accou nting
- Demonstrated ability to review complex accounting transactions, reconciliations, and financial data in high-volume environ ments
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify exceptions, investigate root causes, and recommend solu tions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented app roach
- Experience working with large data sets and transaction-intensive opera tions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with aggressive month-end close time lines
- Advanced Excel and data analysis s kills Preferred Qualifica tions:
- CPA designation and/or Big Four public accounting back ground
- Experience supporting large-scale technology organizations or complex public com panies
- Exposure to high-growth environments with evolving processes and s ystems
- Experience supporting accounting operations within accelerated close cycles
