Job Summary:
The Accounting Associate supports daily accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor management, and financial reporting activities. This role offers broad exposure to accounting functions and is ideal for someone early in their accounting career seeking hands-on experience within a fast-paced business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions, including freight, duties, leases, and utilities Accurately code invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts Maintain vendor records and resolve payment discrepancies Support accounts receivable functions, cash receipts, and chargeback processing Assist with month-end close activities Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Assist with Sales and Use Tax filings Support annual 1099 preparation and filings Participate in physical inventory counts as needed Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Marketing, and National Account teams Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1-2 years of accounting experience or equivalent experience Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work onsite five days per week
Preferred:
SAP experience Knowledge of tariffs and U.S. Customs filings
