Job Purpose:
The Accountant / Admin will ensure that JAC US's accounting operations run smoothly and efficiently. The position will also handle other administrative tasks relevant to general US affairs and office administration.
Responsibilities:
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and reports. Support daily bookkeeping and data entry tasks in compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements. Handle payroll processing and ensure IRS/state tax compliance. Review incoming office mail and process accordingly. Review monthly expense reimbursements and requests from US employees. Procure IT devices (laptops) for onboarding, ensuring device requirements meet guidelines. Handle flight and hotel accommodation requests for US employee business trips in compliance with internal budget approvals. Support other day-to-day administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Business level fluency in Japanese (preferred) Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax regulations, and payroll compliance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred). Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company. Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines. Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
