THE ROLE
The Staff Accountant supports the accounting operations of multiple brands across a growing multi-state healthcare platform. This role partners closely with the Brand Controller and Finance leadership to execute month-end close activities, maintain accurate financial records, support financial reporting, and assist with acquisition integrations. The Brands Staff Accountant also collaborates with cross-functional teams and offshore accounting resources to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial operations while supporting the continued growth of the organization. Primary Responsibilities Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement reviews, and other general accounting functions for assigned brands Support financial reporting, variance analysis, audit requests, intercompany reconciliations, and the allocation of corporate costs across brands, divisions, and locations Partner with Brand Leadership and Finance teams to provide accurate financial information, maintain reporting accuracy, and support business decision-making Assist with the supervision, training, and development of offshore accounting and accounts payable team members to ensure high-quality execution and process consistency Support acquisition and integration activities, including transitioning accounting processes, banking relationships, and financial systems for newly acquired brands Collaborate cross-functionally with People Operations, IT, FP&A, Revenue Cycle, and other departments to support organizational initiatives and financial operations Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, documentation, controls, and operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with GAAP and company policies
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; CPA preferred 3+ years of accounting experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a related field Understanding of GAAP accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close processes NetSuite experience preferred Big 4, national, or regional public accounting firm experience preferred Experience supporting multi-location organizations, healthcare organizations, or acquisition integrations preferred Experience working with or supporting offshore teams preferred Skills General ledger accounting and reconciliations Financial reporting and analysis Advanced Excel proficiency Problem solving and analytical thinking Cross-functional collaboration Organization and attention to detail Communication and stakeholder partnership
