Accounting Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team at Bayshire Senior Living in Escondido, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial report interpretation, debits and credits, financial auditing, financial concepts, balance sheet reconciliation, budgeting, journal entries, forecasting, SOX compliance, and governmental accounting. The Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This is not a remote position. Applicants would be required on-site M-F.
Experience in Healthcare preferred:
Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, healthcare setting. CPA not required.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of financial accounting including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and financial statement preparation.
  • Perform regular financial audits to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in budgeting processes and provide financial insights for decision-making.
  • Reconcile balance sheets and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain detailed records of financial transactions.
  • Forecast financial trends and analyze variances to ensure financial stability.
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification is a plus.
  • Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
