In this vital role, you will be responsible for daily accounting operations, including sales reconciliation, inventory accounting, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month‑end financial reporting. You will oversee key financial activities within the store, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all reporting and record‑keeping processes. Responsibilities Reconcile daily POS sales, cash receipts, credit card settlements, and other payment transactions. Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies and maintain accurate sales records. Track inventory transactions, conduct inventory counts, and reconcile inventory records. Manage accounts payable, including invoice verification, vendor payments, and account reconciliations. Manage accounts receivable, customer account balances, and collections as needed. Maintain petty cash and company credit card expense records. Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger. Reconcile bank accounts, merchant accounts, and other balance sheet accounts. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Prepare financial reports, including Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements. Support audits, tax preparation, and compliance requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or grocery operations. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
