Non-Represented Description Accounting Intern (20-25 hours per week, Mon - Fri) The Accounting Intern provides administrative support to the Accounting Department. This includes providing overall support to accounts payable by processing vendor payments, filing and maintaining expenditure spreadsheets. The intern will also assist accounts receivable with filing, mailing out statements, and maintaining spreadsheets to analyze accounting/billing records for accuracy and completeness. Additional duties of a similar nature or level may be assigned as needed. Typical Qualifications Current enrollment in a full-time, accredited bachelor's or graduate degree program, preferably with some coursework in business or accounting, with a current GPA of 2.0 or higher. Must have at least one year remaining in school. Ability to work up to 25 hours a week. Basic understanding of modern business practices and procedures, business letter writing and elements of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, punctuation and mathematics. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others. #1 - Interns must be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited bachelor's or graduate program related to this field. #2 - Interns must have at least one year or more remaining in school. (You will not be considered if you do not meet the criteria for both #1 & #2 above.) Internships are to provide meaningful training and work experience for students pursuing academic studies related to the District's mission and goals. Interns must submit proof of full-time enrollment, class schedules, and grades each semester/quarter. Interns are not eligible for employee benefits. Interns are "at-will" and can be terminated at the discretion of the Department Manager with or without cause and with or without prior notice. This is not a seasonal internship. Interns work year-round. Class Schedule/Unofficial Transcript showing your current enrollment in a bachelor's or graduate degree program. Physical:

Supplemental Information Schedule:
Monday to Friday between 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM. This is a part-time internship not to exceed 25 hours a week.
