This role manages payables/receivables, reconciliations, payroll and benefit remittances, deposit auditing, and controls to ensure timely, accurate financial operations.
Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable:
review, code, and process vendor invoices; manage payment runs and vendor relationships.
Accounts Receivable:
post receipts, manage customer payments, reconcile AR aging, and follow up on past due accounts.
Bank Reconciliation:
perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts, identify and resolve discrepancies.
Audit Deposits:
verify daily cash and deposit reports, reconcile to point‑of‑sale and bank records.
Payroll:
prepare and process payroll accurately and on time; maintain payroll records and tax withholdings.
Benefit Remittance:
remit 401(k) contributions and health insurance premiums; coordinate with brokers/third‑party administrators.
Back Office Controls:
maintain policies/procedures, ensure internal controls, and support monthly close and financial reporting.
Ad hoc:
prepare reports for management, support audits, assist with budgeting and cash‑flow forecasting. Qualifications 3+ years accounting experience, preferably in retail, automotive, or high‑volume cash operations. Proficient with accounting software (QuickBooks, Dealer Management System experience a plus) and advanced Excel skills. Strong understanding of payroll processing, tax withholdings, and benefits remittance. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to work with vendors, brokers, and internal teams. Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
