Essential Job Functions include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversees the bookkeeping and accounting support activities of Prodigy Healthcare, Inc.; Collects and organizes financial records and supporting documentation; Reconciles bank accounts; Reconciles payroll records; Reconciles credit card, loan, and other balance sheet accounts; Maintains accounts payable and accounts receivable support files; Assists with general ledger review and organization; Maintains monthly bookkeeping files and support schedules; Works directly with outside CPA firms and management regarding accounting matters; Assists with taxes and tax preparation support; Assists with profit and loss reporting; Assists with balance sheets, cash flow reports, and trial balances; Assists with budgets, projections, and forecasts; Assists with month-end and year-end close activities; Tracks revenue, expenses, liabilities, reserves, and related financial activity; Assists with payroll postings, owner transactions, and related financial schedules as assigned; Maintains accounting worksheets, schedules, and reports; Helps prepare audit and fiscal review documents; Reviews postings and identifies bookkeeping issues needing correction; Assists with fixed asset, depreciation, prepaid, and accrued liability schedules; Helps maintain organized accounting procedures and recordkeeping systems; Maintains confidentiality of financial and payroll information; Communicates with leadership, payroll vendors, and outside CPA firms regarding accounting matters; Other relevant duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
Five (5) years experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management in an outpatient SUD setting; LiveScan fingerprint clearance; Annual Tuberculosis test and health screening; Valid California Driver's license and automobile insurance; and Accounting Manager / Senior Bookkeeper Basic knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and coordination with CPA firms.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
Working Conditions:
  • The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, BUT exposure or potential exposure may be required as a condition of employment. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be readily available to every employee engaged in Category II tasks;
  • On-site work will be performed in office or treatment facility;
  • Considerable part of the job will include computer-based work, review of financial records, and communication with management and outside CPA firms; and
  • Position will include occasional contact and interaction with clients.
Physical Demands:
  • The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, BUT exposure or potential exposure may be required as a condition of employment. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be readily available to every employee engaged in Category II tasks;
  • Occasional lifting of more than 10 pounds; and
  • Sitting, standing, walking, reaching, computer work, and review of financial records are performed in the normal course of the position.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
