$28 - $30 per hour Job Details - Job Details We are searching for a dynamic and detail-oriented Consulting Staff Accountant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a strong accounting background, looking to take on a challenging role within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and plays a key role in our audit preparation and compliance processes. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring all business transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner. Perform account and bank reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial information. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and accessible. Provide support during audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries. Prepare and file sales tax reports monthly, quarterly, and annually as required. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies, keeping abreast of any changes in standards and regulations. Gain experience in payroll processes to serve as a backup for payroll duties. Learn and assist with Accounts Receivable tasks, including collections, payment application, and resolving discrepancies. Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Perform other tasks and projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is required. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles. Experience with payroll processes and accounts receivable tasks is preferred. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Adept at working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Experience with accounting software is required. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Willingness to learn and take on new tasks and responsibilities.
