Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description Position Summary A General Ledger (GL) Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. This role plays a key part in financial reporting and internal controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Prepare and post journal entries, including recurring and adjusting entries. Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies. Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data across all ledgers. Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules. Support month-end and year-end close activities. Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and other departments. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. Assist internal and external auditors by providing documentation and explanations. Analyze financial information to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities. Responsible for processing corporate invoices and payments Data Entry - posting of AP invoices in QB Weekly Check run via ACHs • Participate in process improvements and system enhancements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES
) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles. Proficiency with ERP systems and general ledger software. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas. Strong analytical and problem‐solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
