Job Description

Job Description SF-based Venture Debt platform is seeking a Senior / Fund Accounting Manager to join the finance team. This role owns fund-level accounting and financial operations for the firm's private credit strategy, including SMAs. It reports into the Finance Director and carries meaningful supervisory responsibility for junior staff.

Drive quarterly and annual close execution across assigned credit funds and SMAs - journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and supporting schedules. Lead the
Team:
Review, supervise, and develop a Senior Financial Analyst and junior staff with an emphasis on technical accuracy and fund-level judgment.
Oversee Valuations:
Coordinate quarterly credit, warrant, and equity valuations with the investment team and Finance Director, reviewing assumptions and ensuring policy consistency.
Manage Leverage Compliance:
Oversee subscription credit facility activity, covenant compliance, monthly servicing reporting, and quarterly compliance reporting.
Lead Tax Compliance:
Serve as the primary tax lead for fund and GP entities - K-1s, withholding, entity-level filings - coordinating with external advisors and administrators.
Drive Audit:
Manage external audits end-to-end, coordinating deliverables across administrators and service providers.
Requirements:
5+years in finance or accounting with meaningful exposure to private credit, venture capital, or private equity funds CPA strongly preferred; Big 4 background a significant plus Experience supervising or developing junior accounting staff Comfort owning regulatory and tax compliance deliverables (Form PF, Form ADV, K-1s) Strong working knowledge of fund structures, NAV reporting, and LP allocations Advanced Excel; proficiency with AI tools (e.g., Claude, Microsoft Copilot) to streamline workflows
