Senior Accountant

Client in Kings County seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for a company's financial procedures, records and statements for compliance with laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue. Prepare documentation for External Auditors. Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the CFO if necessary. Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist the CFO in running audits. Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team. Reconciling the company's bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers Completing analysis of the employee expenditures Managing income and expenditure accounts Generating the company's financial reports using income and expenditure data Keeping a check on the company's finances based on financial status Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team
• Strong understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required if associate has recent equivalent professional experience.

Must have 5+ years experience as Senior Accountant within the Ag Industry and experience with Famous Software.

Compensation / Pay

Rate (Up to): $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 Per Hour
