$47-53/hr (DOE) Position Overview The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring that significant financial transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with applicable accounting standards, including U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS. This role supports accounting operations across project entities and collaborates with internal teams and external auditors to maintain financial integrity and reporting accuracy. The position operates under the guidance of accounting leadership. Key Responsibilities Accounting Close & Reporting (20%) Manage and oversee full-cycle close processes, ensuring monthly, quarterly, and annual financial activities are completed accurately and within established deadlines. Reconciliations & Workpapers (20%) Prepare and review supporting schedules and detailed analyses, including account reconciliations and job cost reporting where applicable. Maintain organized and accurate documentation within financial systems. Technical Review & Research (20%) Conduct in-depth reviews and perform necessary accounting research to validate deliverables and ensure compliance within defined materiality thresholds. Financial Reporting & Audit Support (20%) Coordinate and oversee preparation of quarterly IFRS reporting packages and support annual
U.S. GAAP
audits for assigned entities. Team Support & Mentorship (10%) Provide guidance and technical support to accounting staff, contributing to workflow efficiency and professional development. Cross-Functional Collaboration (5%) Work closely with various departments to ensure financial transactions are captured accurately and efficiently in the general ledger. Additional Responsibilities (5%) Perform other duties as assigned by accounting leadership.
Qualifications Required:
3-6 years of accounting experience, preferably within a mid-sized to large organization and/or public accounting environment Strong understanding of
U.S. GAAP
; exposure to IFRS is a plus Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred:
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems Familiarity with business intelligence/reporting tools (e.g., BI/BW) Prior experience providing workflow oversight or informal team leadership Background in audit (public or internal)
