Job Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant for a company in La Mesa, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in general ledger management, month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and process improvement. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger recordsLead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activitiesReconcile complex balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepanciesPrepare financial statements, schedules, and supporting documentationAnalyze financial results and assist with variance analysisSupport internal and external audits by preparing required documentationMaintain fixed asset schedules and assist with depreciation accountingHelp ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting requirementsMentor junior accounting staff and support cross-functional collaborationIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
