Accountant Perfected Storage Tanks Lake Elsinore, CA Job Details Full-time From $23 an hour 3 days ago Benefits Paid sick time Qualifications Confidential information handling Spreadsheets QuickBooks Business Administration Office management Business Associate's degree Full Job Description We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy Accounting & Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of our growing company. This role is responsible for accounting, payroll processing, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, data management, and general office administration. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks, ADP, and other business software platforms and possess the ability to manage confidential financial and employee information with professionalism and discretion. As this position will involve processing payroll and handling sensitive company and personnel records, a high level of integrity and confidentiality is required. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Management Manage daily accounting activities, including bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Prepare, issue, and track customer invoices and collections. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and vendor accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures. Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax professionals as needed. Payroll Administration Process employee payroll accurately and on schedule using ADP. Maintain payroll records and employee compensation information. Ensure compliance with applicable payroll regulations and reporting requirements. Assist with employee onboarding and payroll-related documentation. Handle all payroll and employee information with the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion. Administrative & Office Management Maintain and organize company records and files. Support management with administrative tasks and reporting. Coordinate vendor communications, contracts, and payment schedules. Identify and implement improvements to office and accounting processes. Provide general administrative support to company leadership. Data Management & Software Administration Utilize QuickBooks, ADP, Microsoft Excel, and other data processing software to maintain accurate records. Ensure data integrity across accounting and business management systems. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of related experience. Proficiency with QuickBooks and ADP payroll systems. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting. Experience with invoicing, billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential financial and personnel information. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or office management experience. Experience working in a small business environment. Familiarity with construction, engineering, petroleum, fueling systems, or service-based industries. Experience with project/job costing and contract billing. Knowledge of California payroll and employment requirements.
