Senior Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description Senior Accountant - RJ's Construction Supply RJ's Construction Supply is looking for a driven and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role goes beyond accounting; you'll also play a key part in strengthening our operational processes, improving workflows, and helping shape the financial backbone of our growing business.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM What You'll Do Handle critical accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, inventory & cash controls, internal audits, and financial reporting. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations Support month-end and year-end processes Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Develop and implement efficient accounting workflows and operational processes Partner with leadership to create, refine, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the store Generate advanced financial reports and provide actionable insights to support decision-making Identify process improvement opportunities and lead implementation initiatives Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting 3-5 years of hands-on accounting experience Proven track record of improving workflows and implementing new processes Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and influence teams Excellent communication skills-able to collaborate across departments Advanced reporting and analytical capabilities Bilingual in Spanish (preferred, not required)
