This position will support financial reporting, month-end close, inventory and cost accounting, and day-to-day accounting operations while providing oversight to accounting staff. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, leadership skills, and experience in manufacturing, food manufacturing, inventory accounting, or cost accounting. Responsibilities Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports. Analyze financial results and investigate significant variances. Assist to Maintain and reconcile inventory balances across multiple locations. Review inventory transactions, transfers, adjustments, and valuation. Support product costing, margin analysis, and cost accounting functions. Partner with Operations, Production, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to improve inventory controls and accuracy. Review and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash management activities. Assist with payroll accounting, accruals, and related reconciliations. Support audit, tax, and other reporting requirements. Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff. Support ERP system implementation and reporting initiatives, including BatchMaster and QuickBooks. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and internal controls. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience. Supervisory or management experience preferred. Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close. Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with accounting and operations teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, food manufacturing, dairy manufacturing, or related industries. Experience with BatchMaster, QuickBooks, or similar ERP/accounting systems. Experience managing inventory across multiple warehouse locations. CPA designation is a plus, but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to visit warehouse and production areas as needed. Ability to travel between company facilities on an occasional basis.
