Job DescriptionJob Description Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic, fast-paced finance team. In this role, you will assist the Controller with month-end activities, including journal entries, accruals, and bank and balance sheet reconciliations. You will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. The schedule for this role is Monday - Friday plus a weekly Saturday morning shift. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledgers on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis Perform daily bank account and balance sheet reconciliations, as well as month-end and year-end closing activities Research and analyze data to provide accounting and financial insights to management Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of recent accounting experience preferred Expert knowledge of general ledger and journal entries Proven ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Able to work both independently and collaboratively Excellent time management and organizational skills Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, type, and operate office equipment. Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and via electronic communication. Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching as needed to access files and office materials. Ability to occasionally lift and move files, documents, and office supplies up to 20 pounds.
