ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform month-end P&L analysis
  • Prepare management report for monthly results
  • Perform month-end close including all journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Manage multiple entities in Quick Books
  • Balance cash accounts daily.
  • Calculate monthly commissions.
  • Capitalization of Assets
  • Drip Capital Processing
  • Assist accounts payable with proper GL account and department coding.
  • Support quarterly and annual financial statement audits and bi-annual collateral exams.
  • Prepare sales and property tax returns.
  • Manage credit cards and associated transactions.
  • Assist in issuing checks/ACH/Wires (from approved cash disbursement requirement report).
  • Apply daily cash receipts to bank.
  • Work with sales team on collections and prepare month-end sales reports.
  • Prepare weekly accounts of receivable aging and analysis.
  • Conduct customer credit review.
  • Ad hoc reporting.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Food Safety Commitment All personnel are responsible for food safety, food defense and are required to report any food safety risks immediately to their supervisor. All personnel are required to attend Food Safety training annually. Fill in for Financial Analyst in his absence. Fill in for AR & AP Specialist in her absence. Special projects as required
PROVISION OF COVERAGE
  • In the absence of the Senior Accountant, the responsibility will be delegated to the Controller and/or the Financial Analyst.

EXPERIENCE
  • Accounting degree or equivalent; or 3 years in functional areas of this position.
  • Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excel proficiency
  • Quick Books or equivalent system proficiency
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
