CPA - Corporate Tax Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description Herbert Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled CPA - Corporate Tax Accountant with strong experience in corporate tax preparation and compliance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience preparing business tax returns and advising clients on tax strategies that support financial growth and compliance. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple client engagements, ensure accuracy, and deliver high-quality tax services to business clients. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review corporate tax returns including 1120, 1120S, and 1065 Analyze financial statements to ensure accurate tax reporting Identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations Communicate directly with clients to gather financial data and clarify tax matters Review general ledger, balance sheet, and profit & loss statements Ensure timely filing of tax returns and extensions Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations Collaborate with internal teams to improve workflow efficiency Maintain organized documentation and client records Requirements Active CPA license Strong experience with corporate taxes Proven experience preparing business tax returns Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations Ability to analyze financial statements and supporting documents High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to meet deadlines during tax season Strong communication and organizational skills Experience with tax software (Lacerte, ProSeries, UltraTax, TaxDome, or similar) Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in corporate tax preparation Experience working in CPA firm or tax advisory firm Experience handling multiple clients simultaneously Knowledge of tax planning strategies for businesses Company DescriptionHerbert Financial Group is a growing financial services firm specializing in accounting, tax preparation, and financial solutions for individuals and business owners across the United States.
