Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage comprehensive accounting functions for our organization. This pivotal role involves maintaining accurate financial records, execute payroll processing, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and routine reporting deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, proficiency with Quickbooks online, and previous experience in the construction industry. Responsibilities Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Perform monthly bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring proper debits and credits in accordance with GAAP standards. Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions using accounting software using QuickBooks online and desktop. Conduct data entry with precision using 10 key typing skills and double-entry bookkeeping techniques. Provide regular job cost reports, financial reporting, and audit preparations. Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing requested documentation and explanations of financial data. Experience Proven experience as a Bookkeeper and specifically experience with construction related business and certified payrolls. Extensive knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP and experience with technical accounting concepts. Proficiency in accounting software platforms specifically Quickbooks online. Familiarity with certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting related to payroll taxes and benifits filings. Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable processes, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account reconciliation procedures. Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data accurately while maintaining high attention to detail in data entry and account analysis tasks. Excellent math skills combined with solid financial acumen to interpret complex financial concepts effectively. $27.86 - $33.55 per hour Application Question(s): Experience with producing monthly financial reporting in a timely manor, P&L with balance sheet monthly
