Analyzes, completes, and maintains general ledgers and all financial information for assigned location. Prepares financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability or other financial activities for the location assigned. Obtains financial data from relevant internal and external personnel or organizations, and investigates the accuracy of the financial data, and corrects accounting entries in accordance with GAAP as needed and as requested. Reports to Manager and CFO/Controller, Secretary regarding the finances of establishment. All duties are performed in a manner that is consistent with the goals and policies of the company, as well as in compliance with ISO standards.POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Analyzes, verifies and posts details of current software for all business transactions. This includes sales invoicing, accounts payables, and funds received and distributed. Totals accounts, including month-end calculations and closing activity entries, as well as other recordable business transactions to general ledger of the Company,
- Helps manage and may be wholly responsible in many different areas of accounting responsibilities, including but not limited to project management, development of reporting standards, documentation of internal controls, own risk solvency analysis and other parts of a project.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly closing process.
- Develops and validates inventory reports and analyses for management review.
- Assists with year end attestation services by financial independent auditors.
- Record month end closing adjusting journal entries for tangible and intangible fixed assets depreciation expenses by department. Reconciles the general ledger balance to the fixed asset depreciation work paper. Performs fixed asset audits to verify the existences of the fixed assets at the departmental locations.
- Attends and observes annual inventory physical count by independent financial auditors.
- Computes, prepares, files and records related to Sales & Use tax reports on a monthly and quarterly basis once verified and approved by Manager and CFO.
- Prepares and files regional Property Tax annually once reviewed and approved by Manager and CFO.
- Prepares and reviews budget plans for COGS departments.
- Works with Factory Managers to review and verify monthly inventory values.
- Reviews and posts inventory adjustment entries.
- Works closely with other groups in developing process automation where applicable.
- Participates in variety of other activities as a staff member of the Accounting Department and performs other administrative functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting
- More than 5 years of accounting experience with manufacturing companies
- EPR system experience required (Dynamics NAV experience preferred)
- Advanced Excel with V-lookup and Pivot Table experience
- Cost Accounting experience
- Inventory Knowledge preferred
- Japanese bilingual preferred Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.
