Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bilingual Accountant to join our finance team. Either full proficiency in Mandarin or Spanish. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in financial management, accounting software, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient accounting operations. Your bilingual skills will enable effective communication across diverse teams and clients, supporting our commitment to excellence in both corporate and non-profit sectors. Duties Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards. Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data. Conduct accounts payable and receivable processing using accounting software such as QuickBooks Perform bank reconciliations, cash flow analysis, and budget forecasting to support financial planning activities. Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and assist with internal audits and external securities law requirements. Support regulatory reporting obligations including tax filings, governmental accounting standards, and nonprofit accounting regulations like LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit). Assist with financial report writing, interpretation of financial reports, and preparation of detailed financial statements for management review. Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable laws related to wills, trusts & estate law when relevant. Experience Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments with a strong understanding of GAAP principles. Demonstrated expertise in financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft or similar platforms. Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements and securities law regulations. Experience working within governmental or non-profit accounting frameworks including LIHTC programs is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of financial concepts including balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation. Prior experience in auditing or regulatory reporting is advantageous. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately. Effective mentoring skills with a passion for supporting team development in technical accounting areas. Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish or English/Mandarin) is essential for clear communication across diverse stakeholders. $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
