Craig Realty Group is currently seeking an experienced full-time Senior Accountant to prepare, process, and report financial statements for several of our entities. The Senior Accountant will manage monthly financials, support month and year-end close, and reconcile General Ledger accounts. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally detail-oriented and have analytical and quantitative skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis Assist in preparation of budgets on an annual basis and provide analysis of financial data Maintain Job Cost reporting that includes contract maintenance and review of Job Cost coding related to GC applications and vendor invoices Prepare and maintain the Fixed Asset Schedule to ensure accuracy of information and useful asset life for depreciation purposes Approve vouchers Prepare and review sales tax filing Reconcile bank transactions to book and update cash transactions daily Prepare and input journal entries into accounting software system Prepare tax work papers for tax consultants Prepare Investor's Report on a quarterly basis Correspond with multiple departments on a continuous basis (A/P, A/R, and Construction) Analyze general ledger accounts for inconsistencies and material misstatements Be responsible for the month end, quarter end, and year end closings Analyze and prepare allocation of corporate costs Be able to manage multiple projects in a given time period while meeting deadlines Be customer service oriented Perform special projects or other duties as assigned EDUCATION and
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent field Professional level of knowledge in accounting principles and procedures Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Knowledge of budgeting software Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV - preferred
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents and transactions Ability to effectively respond to issues both verbally and in writing Ability to make effective presentations on general topics Ability to inspire and motivate employees and client groups to take desired action Commitment to achieve an elevated level of customer service
