This role manages monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury functions, and coordination with property management teams. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, deep property‑level experience, and the ability to improve processes and systems in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Review monthly and intercompany journal entries and ensure accurate general ledger activity Lead monthly and annual close, including CAM reconciliations, job cost review, and variance analysis Manage accounts payable, vendor setup, special invoices, and weekly check runs Oversee treasury functions: daily bank reconciliations, tenant receipts, cash forecasting, and wire processing Partner with Property Managers to resolve AR issues, tenant billing, and bad debt reserves Assist with annual budgeting and entering budgets into MRI Maintain debt schedules and related journal entries Coordinate funding requests, distributions, and cash needs with management Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP Drive process improvements and leverage accounting technologies (MRI, Avid, banking platforms) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA preferred 5+ years of property accounting or real estate accounting experience Strong understanding of GL, CAM, budgeting, and monthly reporting Experience with MRI or similar real estate accounting systems Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams This position is full‑time, on‑site in Newport Beach, CA . Compensation is competitive and based on experience, with a full benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k), and flexible time off.
