As we expand, we're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Fund Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in real estate accounting, particularly in real estate funds and real estate transactions. You'll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting strategic decisions, and collaborating across departments to ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily accounting functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes Track fund activity, including capital contributions, distributions and allocations. Support preparation of monthly investor reports and payments Assisting with Annual Audits, including the compiling of Audit requests Support with Tax Filings and Compliance Support accounts payable and receivable functions Track and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
Administrative Support:
Undertake various administrative tasks, adapting to the dynamic needs of the team, ranging from routine to complex financial matters. Assist in tracking and recording real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and property owner statements.
Minimum Qualifications:
AA or bachelor's degree in accounting 1 year or more of accounting experience (Fund Accounting or Real Estate experience strongly preferred) Proficiency in Excel Proficiency in Accounting software (QuickBooks Preferred) Proficiency with Google Suites Strong organizational skills Strong communication skills Eager, proactive and willing to learn
