Contract Accountant

Description Our company is seeking a skilled Accountant for a contract role with hands-on experience in NetSuite. This is an excellent opportunity to support our accounting operations and drive process improvements during a critical period. Candidates must be detail-oriented, collaborative, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily and monthly accounting functions, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Oversee transactional accounting in

NetSuite:

accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, and bank reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiatives. Generate and analyze financial statements, identifying discrepancies and proposing corrections. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and optimize NetSuite utilization. Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Respond to ad-hoc accounting requests as needed.

Requirements Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven detail oriented accounting experience (2+ years preferred), including recent NetSuite usage. Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS). Proficiency with NetSuite ERP (mandatory); familiarity with additional tools like Excel is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
