Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CPA / Senior Accountant to the Finance and Accounting Team due to continued growth. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex accounting functions, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and contribute to the financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Assist the CFO as necessary to oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. B. Assist the CFO as necessary to maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures. C. Assist the CFO and leadership as necessary in the annual budgeting and planning process; assist in reviewing all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate. D. Support the CFO in engaging the board's audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery. E. Assist the CFO as necessary in overseeing all financial, project/program accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with program budgets throughout the fund period; collate financial reporting materials for state, county, and corporate requirements. F. Assist the CFO as necessary in managing organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the program directors; continuously collaborate with program leadership to assess the financial efficacy of program operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support program operations. G. Assist the CFO as necessary in managing and tracking the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines. H. Employee will assist the CFO in all day-to-day finance operations of the company including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. I. The Senior Accountant will assist the CFO to ensure that the company has the systems and procedures in place to support effective program implementation and conduct flawless audits J. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the leadership and their staff, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures but also to explore how the finance function can support program operations. K. Manage and lead the accounting functions, support the operation heads with information and analysis on improving operations and profitability, provide feedback to management on performance to budget and variances. L. Develop metrics and analysis identifying areas for improvement. Regularly advise the CEO on underperforming operations and opportunities for improvement M. Maintain accounting procedures and standards. Ensure records and systems are in accordance with appropriate standards, designed to mitigate risk, protect the company's investment and provide safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, program budgets and actual expenditures N. Search for opportunities to improve the profitability of all operations and prepare reports to measure the success of these objectives including detailed variance analysis. O. Review of general ledger and balance sheet P. Resolve various accounting/reconciliation issues Q.
Financial reports:
monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including but not limited to monthly and fiscal close, internal and external audit reporting, report preparation and distribution. R. Maintain and review financial accounting best practices and policies S.
Review the following functions:
financial reporting, accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger T. Ensure accurate and timely dissemination of financial reports. U. Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis V. Complete special projects as assigned W. Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow X. Auditing involves comprehensive reviews of financial statements and documents Y. Prepare and file complex tax returns for the corporation, while also proactively developing tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws
Requirements:

QuickBooks Desktop Experience Pay:
$90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
