Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic finance team as an Accountant and become a vital contributor to our organization's financial health and integrity. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring compliance , and supporting financial reporting processes. Your expertise will help us maintain accurate financial records, streamline accounting operations, and uphold the highest standards of financial accuracy and transparency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced accounting software and contribute to both corporate and governmental accounting initiatives. Responsibilities Perform general ledger accounting for 200+ employees, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining detailed records. Conduct data entry tasks with precision using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, efficiently. Prepare financial statements, reports, etc Support payroll management using systems like ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, verify payroll data for accuracy and compliance. Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities by maintaining detailed records of tax-related transactions and supporting documentation. Collaborate on budgeting processes, account analysis, and financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making. Ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards when handling non-profit or public sector financial activities. Perform month-end closing activities including account analysis and journal entries to facilitate accurate reporting. Experience Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting environments with a strong understanding of financial concepts. Hands-on experience with multiple accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage, etc. Familiarity with payroll management systems like ADP or Paychex along with payroll processing procedures. Knowledge of GAAP principles, SOX compliance requirements, and tax regulations related to financial reporting. Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, balance sheet review, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping practices. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in account analysis and account reconciliation tasks. Excellent math skills including 10 key typing proficiency for accurate data entry.
