We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic financial team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic planning. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will drive the success of our financial operations, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across diverse areas including corporate accounting, auditing, tax planning, and financial consulting. Duties Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards. Conduct audits, ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and internal controls. Manage tax filings, including income taxes, estate planning documents, wills, trusts, and estate law considerations. Oversee ledger reconciliation processes such as balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to maintain data integrity. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial tools for bookkeeping, account analysis, and financial report writing. Perform financial analysis to support mergers & acquisitions, investment decisions, and asset management strategies. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to guide organizational growth. Ensure compliance with securities law and regulatory reporting standards relevant to our industry. Support non-profit accounting initiatives and manage accounts payable processes efficiently. Conduct detailed account reconciliation and analysis to identify discrepancies or areas for process improvement. Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required. Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments with a strong background in tax experience and technical accounting. Extensive knowledge of
GAAP, SOX
compliance, and financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and balance sheet reconciliation. Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar platforms; familiarity with financial software tools is essential. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial reports and perform detailed account analysis. Experience in estate planning, wills & trusts law, securities law, mergers & acquisitions, private equity or asset management is a plus. Excellent communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and interpreting financial data effectively. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices is advantageous but not mandatory.
