Position Overview:
A mission-driven non-profit organization in Pasadena is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with general ledger maintenance and journal entries Perform bank and account reconciliations Support month-end and year-end close processes Process accounts payable and assist with accounts receivable as needed Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP Assist with preparation of financial reports and schedules Ensure compliance with internal controls and non-profit accounting standards Provide support during audits and special projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1+ year of accounting experience (internships welcome) Basic knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles Experience with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs a plus) Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Pay Details:
