In this vital role, you will support the financial health of our organization by managing a variety of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining accurate financial records. Your expertise in financial software, accounting principles, and data entry will drive efficiency and accuracy across our financial operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your skills will directly impact our success and growth. Responsibilities Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accurate financial reporting. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining detailed records. Utilize accounting software Netsuite, Workday to record transactions and generate financial reports. Conduct payroll management tasks using systems like ADP. Reconcile accounts regularly through account reconciliation procedures to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently. Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities by maintaining organized documentation and supporting audit processes. Support internal controls compliance such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and assist in implementing process improvements for financial operations. Qualifications Proven experience in corporate or governmental accounting with a strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Familiarity with various financial software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms. Knowledge of payroll management systems such as ADP or Paychex along with experience in payroll processing. Strong data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in 10 key typing and double-entry bookkeeping is essential. Ability to perform detailed account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and journal entries efficiently. Experience with tax procedures, accounts payable/receivable management, and financial concepts related to non-profit or public accounting is preferred. Excellent math skills combined with a keen eye for detail; ability to interpret financial data accurately.
