Job Summary Faith Electric is looking for a highly technical Staff Accountant to join the Finance and Accounting Team. Supporting the period close process, the Senior Accountant will be the subject matter expert in all things GAAP. This individual will have a keen aptitude for accounting and will promote consistency, accuracy, efficiency, timeliness, and reliability to the overall accounting process at Faith Electric. They will be a core member of the team who will collaborate with leadership to improve policies and processes while also being an inspiring partner and resource to the rest of the Company. Major Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll entries. Ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and maintain up-to-date and organized financial records. Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, credit cards, and bank statements to identify and resolve discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, cashflow statements, and equity roll forward schedules. Ensure Company transactions are compliant with GAAP, regulations, and internal Company policies. Stay up to date on changes in accounting regulations and standards and collaborate with leadership to implement necessary changes and adjustments to accounting processes. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and reconciliations for external audits and collaborate with auditors during the audit process. Provide guidance, mentoring, and training as needed to other accounting staff. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and management to support business objectives and initiatives. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting the four pillars of our Company's MVV. (Safety First, Fostering Success, Superior Performance, and Unquestionable Trust)
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred but related field also acceptable. Proven experience as a senior accountant or similar role required with at least 3-5 years relevant experience (full cycle). Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards (GAAP). Construction or job costing environment experience a plus. Proficient in using accounting software and financial management systems. Experience with ERP systems a plus. Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial analysis, modeling, and reporting. (Pivot, Lookups, etc.) Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership qualities.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
