  • Full-time Eadie + Payne ("EP") is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Senior Accountant to join our team.
EP serves a diverse client base across multiple industries, providing team members with broad exposure to tax, accounting, and client service opportunities in a collaborative professional environment. Position Summary The Tax Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, managing client relationships, and assisting with tax planning and compliance. This role requires strong technical tax knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to mentor staff team members while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, nonprofit organizations and trusts; Conduct tax research and resolve complex tax issues; Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate recommendations; Manage multiple client engagements and ensure timely completion; Supervise, train, and mentor staff accountants and interns; Review work prepared by staff team members for accuracy and completeness; Assist with IRS and state tax notices, audits, and correspondence; Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and industry trends; Collaborate with partners and managers on client strategies and workflow improvements; Maintain productivity and realization goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university; CPA license or progress toward certification preferred; 4-7+ years of public accounting tax experience; Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations. Technical Skills Experience with CCH Axcess/ProSystem Tax, Karbon and QuickBooks; Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; Experience with multi-state taxation; Exposure to high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses; Familiarity with tax planning strategies and projections; Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
