Staff Accountant - Come work at BoaVida "Good Life"! BoaVida Communities is proud to be recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in the region by the Sacramento Business Journal. Based in Sacramento, BoaVida is a property management company supporting over 280 Manufactured Home and RV Communities nationwide. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team! We need someone who is detail-oriented and organized, and loves to keep a checklist. You need to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and working multiple projects. This role requires working with high independence handling accounting operations with direct reporting to the Accounting Manager. Our organization is scaling rapidly, and we are seeking to adopt best proctices to record and report faster with no "red tape". This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday - in our new modern office. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of accounting: billing, financial statements, general ledger, modified accrual/cash accounting, payroll allocations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance/tax returns and various special analyses Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations Oversee all payments made for debts, bank loans, and other debt compliance requirements Monitor cash and funding balances: evaluate cash flow needs Prepare and organize financial statements for record and review Assist with loan processing complying with all local state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings and reporting for our RV business Ensuring company complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements Requirements and Qualifications Ideal candidate has 2+ years of highly relevant experience Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation Experience with loan processing is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records Able to work well with company officers and team, as well as mentor/lead other team members Equal Employment Opportunity We are an equal opportunity employer.
